The 9 paradoxes of Farm to Fork

All the paradoxes of the “Farm to Fork”

The European livestock sector presented ‘The 9 paradoxes of Farm to Fork’. At the initiative of Carni Sostenibili (https://www.carnisostenibili.it/en/) and European Livestock Voice (https://meatthefacts.eu/), the video series was launched simultaneously in 7 European countries and languages: Belgium, Italy, France, Spain, Germany, Portugal and Poland.

The 9 paradoxes identify misconceptions and prejudices about the environment, health and economy:

  1. The nutritional value of meat
  2. The consistency of land use for livestock activities
  3. The environmental sustainability of the European livestock supply chain
  4. The economic impact of the sector
  5. The protection of animal welfare
  6. The use of natural vs. chemical fertilisers
  7. Job security and employment in rural areas
  8. The gastronomic and cultural heritage of animal products;
  9. The safety and availability of our food products
