Chickens are not ‘crammed’. They live in farms that provide enough space for the chicks that will grow up to be the chickens you find in the supermarket. The farms are also perfectly organised to allow each chick, and subsequently each chicken, to eat, drink, rest and move freely. It must also be said that by their nature chickens tend to stay close together, to seek each other out, and this behaviour can give the ill-thinking the impression that chickens are crowded. In reality they follow their natural instincts.
