Organic farming at all costs, brings with it the contents and results of a dangerously limited, short-sighted culture, instrumentally and irresponsibly fuelled by those who wish to impose their own bucolic vision of the earth and those who inhabit it. One does not live by vegetables alone. A plastic and instructive demonstration of this, even in its dramatic nature, has been given by Sri Lanka.
