ORGANIC CHICKEN WHAT DOES IT REALLY MEAN?

Poultry farms defined as organic must comply with mandatory specifications that include:

  • colonies limited to a maximum of 4800 chickens each,
  • a maximum density in the shed of 10 heads per square metre,
  • an outdoor area with a surface area equivalent to 4 square metres per head,
  • free access to this external area for at least 33% of the chicken’s life,
  • a feed produced from organic raw materials
